Monster Energy Motostar British Championship
2012 will see the introduction of Moto3 machines within the Monster Energy Motostar British Championship however most teams will choose to remain with 125GP bikes ensuring this class remains the last bastion of two stroke power for young rider development. Tarran Mackenzie (Taz) lines up for his 2nd season in the Championship on-board his Redline KTM.
The Metzeler National Superstock 600 Championship
The Metzeler National Superstock 600 Championship is designed to identify new riding talent and provide a progression route to higher classes of racing. This class is strictly for riders aged 16-25, the past two winners have progressed on to British Supersport rides.
Knockhill Motor Sports Club - Superstock 600 Championship

Tommy Hill

| Team | Swan Yamaha |
| From | Lingfield, UK
|
| BSB Races | 161 |
| BSB Wins | 12 |
| Honours | 2011 BSB Champion |
Last year's defending champion returns to the 2012 MCE British Superbike Championship having re-signed with Swan Yamaha for another year. Hill took a highly convincing double victory at Knockhill last year and will be looking for a similar performance when he returns in June.
Shane Byrne

| Team | Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki |
| From | London, UK
|
| BSB Races | 197 |
| BSB Wins | 33 |
| Honours | Double Superbike Champion |
Shakey jumped ship this year by joining Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki, the Penrith based team, run by Paul Bird Motorsport. Byrne joins Scottish favourite Stuart Easton for 2012 and you wouldn't bet against this experienced campaigner being in with a title shot come October. Byrne has already done some mileage around Knockhill this year, so will be quiety confident when he arrives in Fife.
Stuart Easton

| Team | Rapid Solicitiors Kawasaki |
| From | Hawick, Scotland
|
| BSB Races | 86 |
| BSB Wins | 3 |
| Honours | 3rd in BSB and former Supersport Champ |
Easton returns the MCE British Superbike Championship eager to make up for an injury ravaged season last year. Like Byrne, he will be hoping the 2012 championship season heralds another title success for the Paul Bird Motorsport team, who took fellow borders rider, Steve Hislop to glory in 2002. Easton is renowed for making fast starts and let's hope he is flying when he reaches Knockhill.
Josh Brookes

| Team | Tyco Suzuki |
| From | Sydney, Australia
|
| BSB Races | 68 |
| BSB Wins | 7 |
| Honours | 2010 Runner Up |
Aussie, Brookes returns with Northern Irish TAS Racing that took him to a 5th place finish in 2011. Admittedly it took the team and Brookes a few rounds to get going last year, but once they did, they were a force to be reckoned with. Make no mistake, Brookes wants that BSB Championship and he'll be looking to hit-the-ground running in 2012.
Noriyuki Haga

| UpTeam | Swan Yamaha |
| From | Nagoya, Japan
|
| BSB Races | 3 |
| BSB Wins | 0 |
| Honours | WSB Runner Up |
Japanese star, Nitro Nori comes with undoubted pedigree having raced in World Superbikes and MotoGP for the past 10 years. Despite never winning a WSB or MotoGP crown, Haga has always been a consistent performer finishing 3rd & 2nd on three separate occassions (WSB). Like John Hopkins last year, Noriyuki will have to learn some new tracks, if he can master the circuits and the racing quickly, he shouldn't be counted out.
Taylor Mackenzie (Motorpoint British Supersport Championship)

| Team | Mar-Train Racing |
| From | Ashby De La Zouch
|
| Races | 3 |
| Wins | 0 |
| Honours | Former MotoGP 125 Rider |
Taylor Mackenzie or T-Mack, embarks on a new challenge this year by joining Mar-Train Racing for 2012. The former MotoGP 125 World Championship and Red Bull Rookie competitor steps into to the British Supersport Championship on-board a Yamaha R6. Despite living down south, Taylor is Scottish through-and-through and always sports a saltire and a Knockhill sticker on his helmet (good lad). As Taylor looks to carve out a career in racing, he has the perfect tutor, Dad Niall is a fomer Triple BSB Champion and all round Scottish motorsport legend.
