PRACTICE FRIDAY - Come along and see all classes take to the Knockhill tarmac in their first practice sessions of the 2012 Knockhill round of the British Superbike Championship. See Easton, Rutter, Byrne and defending champion Tommy Hill go for superbike supremacy.

Saturday 23rd June

QUALIFYING – Saturday at the British Superbikes is an event in itself, riders and teams franticallty try to set up there bikes for qualifying around the Knockhill Circuit. The day cumlinates in final Shootout as the top competitors vie for pole position.

Sunday 24th June

RACE DAY – After an intense build up raceday finally offers the competitors the chance to prove who is the best around the tight and twisty Knockhill track. Expect action all the way as Britain's best bike racers compete flat out on the 1.3 mile circuit.

Camping

Weekend camping will be available at the 2012 round of the MCE British Superbike Championship at Knockhill over the weekend of 22/23/24 June. Camping must only be purchased with a ticket (unless season pass holder). A wristband will be sent along with the ticket, you must keep both on you at all times, no access to the campsite is permitted without the band (see the FAQs for further info).

Weekend Camping - £20.00 per person. (Under 12’s free)

Caravans -
Caravans must not be longer than 8m x 4m (24ftx12ft) and no awnings are permitted. ALL Caravans must have a valid Caravan pass and pay a surcharge of £20.



Additional Entertainment

We'll have a range of entertainment for spectators throughout the weekend including World Stunt Bike Champion Kevin Carmichael. Best known for his unique, dynamic and fascinating riding style. Kevin's tricks have been adopted by professional stunt riders all over the world. Kevin will also perform a show on Saturday night to entertain those of you who are camping. Mini Motos and Karaoke in the Clubhouse should also keep you all amused until Sunday's main event. (TBC)

The Metzeler National Superstock 1000 Championship is one of the most fiercely-contested BSB support series, with young riders competing alongside professional racers and major manufacturers using the series' to showcase their production road machines. This class has helped springboard riders into the premier classes, including Alastair Seeley and Steve Brogan who made the move to BSB in 2010.

Henderson Harley-Davidson XR1200 Trophy

The XR750-inspired Harley Davidson XR1200 provides an exciting opportunity with a one make series at selected rounds of the British Superbike calendar. The series, which is officially supported by Harley-Davidson UK and Ireland, is designed to showcase the performance capabilities of the XR1200 motorcycle.



British 125GP Championship

The 2010 British 125GP Championship provided some of the closest and intense on track battles as the champions of tomorrow fought it out for the title, the championship was retained by James Lodge for the second consecutive year. This year Lodge is set to progress to the National Superstock 600 Championship. 2010 also saw the battle of the sons with Taylor Mackenzie and Dakota Mamola on track fighting for victories. Taylor now progresses onto the World Championship in a two year deal including a second year in the Moto3 class.



The Metzeler National Superstock 600 Championship

The Metzeler National Superstock 600 Championship is designed to identify new riding talent and provide a progression route to higher classes of racing. This class is strictly for riders aged 16-25, the past two winners have progressed on to British Supersport rides.

The last time Shakey raced at Knockhill he came off spectacularly at the first corner whilst leading the race by a clear margin. Byrne will be hoping for better luck this time around and although he sits top of the pile heading Knockhill, he knows a solid points scoring haul is essential this weekend.

Despite this being Hopper's debut season, the talented American racer has revitalised his career with his BSB performances this year. Being relative a newcomer to some of the tracks on the BSB circuit hasn't stopped Hopkins claiming 2nd spot in the standings. Hopper tested at Knockhill last week and from what we saw he'll be competitive this weekend for sure.

2010 Runner Up

The likable Aussie has spent most of his BSB time with the HM Plant Honda Team and achieved his best ever season result by finishing 2nd last year. This time around Brookes takes to Knockhill on board a Relentless Suzuki and although he sits sixth in the current standings, he cannot be ruled out. Took pole postion last year ahead of his team mate and eventual BSB champion, Kiyonari.

The vastly experienced Rutter normally goes well at Knockhill and has racked up a number of podiums on his trips to Scotland. As a former TT, NW200 and Macau GP winner he certainly has the pedigree to claim a double victory this year. Widely regarded as a master in the wet and took victory last year in trying circumstances.

Dennis represents Scotland's closest 'home' racer in the main feature races given the enforced absence of Stuart Easton through injury. Dennis has had some rotten luck in the past few seasons and everyone at Knockhill wishes him all the best for this weekend. Dennis also forms part of the comedy duo that commentates on the Knockhill Motor Sports Club Bike Racing on Motors TV.

Motorbike Stunt Riding

World Stunt Bike Champion Kevin Carmichael will be performing his awesome tricks all weekend. Best known for his unique, dynamic and fascinating riding style. Kevin's tricks have been adopted by professional stunt riders all over the world. Kevin was the first person to wheelie a superbike with no front wheel or forks, and also has achieved this stunt with passengers!

Adult Ticket Info

An adult ticket will be issued when the purchaser is over 16 years old.



Concession Ticket Info

An concession ticket will be issued when the purchaser is 12-16 years (inclusive), OAP (60 yrs+), Disabled, Student* must have photographic student ID



Kids Ticket Info

Any child up to 11 years of age will be subject to no admission charges and therefore gain FREE ENTRY to the scheduled event. (except where stated)



Family Ticket Info

Family tickets consist of 2 Adults + 2 Concession* note children up to age 11yrs get free entry, therefore family ticket only applies if children are 12yrs and over


Parking

Parking, at most events parking is available close to the spectator areas. At major events all parking is on site but may not be inside the circuit grounds and the circuit may not be visible from your car. For disabled there are a limited number of trackside parking spaces. The paved and elevated disabled viewing areas are close to these parking spaces.



Buses

Buses, we can accommodate groups arriving by bus.  The car parks are not suitable for buses therefore passengers will be directed to disembark near the pedestrian gate and then the bus will be parked in the designated area.



Drop-offs / Taxis

At major events with a high traffic flow the drop off area for taxi’s etc. will be next to the TICKET COLLECTION POINT this area will have a suitable turning area and access to exit routes. Passengers should then proceed to the pedestrian gates to purchase tickets if required.

At all other events drop-offs can be made at the main entrance gate.



Carers

Carers in possession of ID or a letter to confirm they are a carer get free entry when accompanying a disabled person.


Animals

Animals are not permitted on site or in any of the car parks or camp sites.



Camping

Camping is available at the British Superbike and British Touring Car events. Camping spaces must be pre-booked and can only be purchased alongside a ticket purchase.

  • Camping must only be purchased with a ticket (unless season pass holder)
  • A wristband will be sent along with the ticket, you must keep both on you at all times, no access to the campsite is permitted without the band
  • No animals allowed
  • No awnings allowed on caravans
  • Caravans must not be longer than 8m x 4m (24ftx12ft) (£20 surcharge for caravans - pre-book only)
  • There is no power provided
  • Toilets and showers are within the campsite
  • Under 12’s free
  • Cars will not be parked next to tents or caravans, there is a separate car park
  • No fires or fireworks
  • BBQs are permitted, they must be attended to at all times
  • Spaces are allocated on a first come, first served basis

At all other events camping facilities are not provided, please look at our accommodation section for facilities close to Knockhill.



Tickets

Tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred to another event.  For ticket transfers the tickets must be received at the office before the event start date. Tickets cannot be transferred after the event date.
