The 2016 Events Calendar will provide another thrill-a-minute season for Scots race fans. The season will kick off with the opening rounds of the SMRC (Scottish Motor Racing Club) and KMSC (Knockhill Motor Sports Club) Championships for cars and bikes respectively. Additionally, the SMRC will return for a further 6 outings throughout the season. Similarly, our KMSC bike racers will enjoy four two-day race meetings throughout the course of 2016.
The Super Lap Scotland Championship - featuring some of the fastest cars in Scotland - will return alongside the all new BMW Super Cup; as well as taking centre-stage on three themed Hot Hatch Days - Clean and Scene, Japanese Car Show and the highly popular Paul Walker Tribute event in September. Additional Hot Hatch Trackdays will feature along the way with a proposed German and of course the Ford Live event returning for another festival of Ford machinery in August.
2016 will also see the return of a 'Supercar' event at Knockhill entitled "Simply Supercars" that will feature a wide array of Supercars from the likes of Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghini. The British Drift Championship event returns for another smoke-filled weekend - this time with camping and Saturday night entertainment part of the line-up for the first time.
Our two headline events take place in June (British Superbike Championship) and August (British Touring Car Championship) with double-champ Gordon Shedden looking to become the only Scot to claim a 3rd BTCC title.
All-in-all, the 2016 season will be jam-packed with a wide array of events that should cater for all sorts of motorsport needs. Our Gold Season Pass will grant you access to every event on the Knockhill calendar this year; including the MCE British Superbike and Touring Car Championship events. With thrilling motorsport events, almost every week, from April to October; a Gold Season Pass will give you the option to pick and choose the best event to attend this year.
Our 4Wheel Pass grants you access to all Car Racing events at Knockhill this season. This will include multiple Scottish Championship events, alongside our Super Lap Scotland, British Drifting and GRant Construction Rally events. The 4Wheel Pass will also get you into the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship event.
Our 2Wheel Pass grants you access to all bike racing events at Knockhill during the upcoming season; events like, the Knockhill Motorsports Club Bike Racing Championships and our Rewind Festival, as well as access to the big one; the MCE British Superbikes.
Another great benefit of our Season Passes is that they are fully transferable. So, if you can’t make an event due to prior commitments, give it to a friend, family member or colleague, and allow them to enjoy some thrilling motorsport action on your behalf.

Gordon Shedden became only the second Scot to win two Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship titles to equal, boyhood hero, John Cleland’s Scottish BTCC record. Shedden saw out a frenetic and dramatic BTCC race weekend to snatch victory in the very last race of the season; to win the Championship by 4 points.
Honda Yuasa Racing’s Gordon Shedden has been crowned the 2015 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Champion after producing a sensational drive in the final race of a dramatic season.
Well, well, well; another Scottish Championship racing season done and dusted; and as the sun set on our final meeting of the year; there were undoubtedly a few drivers toasting their 2015 Championship successes yesterday evening, likewise however, there were probably even more left to lament their luck after watching any slim Championship hopes they may have held evaporate in a thrilling day of motorsport at Knockhill.
Sunday 4th October will herald our final Scottish Championship race outing of the season and with several Championship battles set to go to the wire this weekend, the action is sure to be thrilling throughout.
A calm and bright day welcomed the leading KMSC and Scottish riders for the final raceday of the season at Knockhill at the weekend (Sunday 27th September). A long grueling season had seen competitors tackle 20 races in each Championship, with Knockhill and East Fortune the hosting venues. The weekend’s festivities were backed up by a spectacular Rewind Festival
Big news on the Sidecar front this weekend; former FIM World Champions and Isle of Man TT winners enter the Jock Taylor memorial race. Ben (driver) and Tom (passenger) Birchall have confirmed they will be at Knockhill this weekend to line-up on the grid to compete for theJock Taylor Memorial Trophy and the Steve Webster trophy, behind the wheel of their LCR Honda F1 Sidecar.
