Sunday 6th April

It's the opening round of the season and competitors will be looking to start their 2014 campaigns in stunning style. We'll have action from Formula Ford, Legends, Minis, BMW Compacts, Sports & Saloons, Classic Sports & Saloons, Fiesta XR2s and STs. There is always plenty of action to keep you entertained. Join us from 11am with action all day.

The minis have a 3-race format similar to the British Touring Cars, keeping all the drivers on their toes throughout the day. This popular new championship is for production based cars built between 1949 and 1980. It is split into 4 engine size based classes. All cars use Yokohama tyres and any driver from the 4 classes can win this well supported championship. One make championships for Mk2 Fiesta XR2 cars using their original engines with restricted tuning. All cars use road tyres and there is a Newcomers Cup for drivers in their first or second season. The newer 2 litre Fiesta ST cars have their own class and start behind the XR2s so the chase is on.

Alongside the Scottish Championship car racing series we often get the opportunity to welcome some visting rounds to Knockhill. This year see's three Championships come North of the border to sample the uniques twists and turns of Knockhill Racing Circuit.

Dario Franchitti, arguably one of world’s best racing drivers will be at Knockhill on Sunday 7th October to support the Scottish Motor Racing Club’s final event of the 2012 season. Dario’s racing highlights include 4 IndyCar Championship titles and 3 Indianapolis 500 wins as well as numerous titles in Europe before embarking on his remarkable career in America. Indeed such is Franchitti’s American success, he is currently tied for 7th position on the all-time IndyCar winners list.

Dario will also be showcasing his 1999 Reynard Honda which he raced and won at Surfer’s Paradise, Australia. The car will be on display in paddock one within the Graham Brunton Racing garage.

The Northern Saloon & Sportscar Championship, organised by the Darlington & District Motor Club Ltd, and caters for just about every type of sports or saloon car, with 9 different classes depending upon age, engine size and modification.

The championship has seen 70 registered competitors in 27 Marques, with 43 Models and who knows how many variants of car with 30+ competitors at each round it is a true clubmans event offering a worthwhile championship to local drivers without the necessity of travelling nationwide.

Racing mainly at Croft, the championship also visits Cadwell Park, Knockhill & Oulton Park.

Legends were born and bred on the oval circuits of North America. In fact, the whole car is built to turn left - the driver and engine are offset to that side. In the U.K., however, we make them turn in either direction. This means we can race at some of the top circuits in the country.

Adult Ticket Info

An adult ticket will be issued when the purchaser is over 16 years old.



Concession Ticket Info

An concession ticket will be issued when the purchaser is 12-16 years (inclusive), OAP (60 yrs+), Disabled, Student* must have photographic student ID



Kids Ticket Info

Any child up to 11 years of age will be subject to no admission charges and therefore gain FREE ENTRY to the scheduled event. (except where stated).

Kids over 12-16years now go FREE if a family ticket is purchased in advance.



Family Ticket Info

Family tickets consist of 2 Adults + 2 Concession* note children up to age 11yrs get free entry, therefore family ticket only applies if children are 12yrs and over. Remember if a family ticket is purchased in advance, all children go FREE!


Parking

Parking, at most events parking is available close to the spectator areas. At major events all parking is on site but may not be inside the circuit grounds and the circuit may not be visible from your car. For disabled there are a limited number of trackside parking spaces. The paved and elevated disabled viewing areas are close to these parking spaces.



Buses

Buses, we can accommodate groups arriving by bus.  The car parks are not suitable for buses therefore passengers will be directed to disembark near the pedestrian gate and then the bus will be parked in the designated area.



Drop-offs / Taxis

At major events with a high traffic flow the drop off area for taxi’s etc. will be next to the TICKET COLLECTION POINT this area will have a suitable turning area and access to exit routes. Passengers should then proceed to the pedestrian gates to purchase tickets if required.

At all other events drop-offs can be made at the main entrance gate.



Carers

Carers in possession of ID or a letter to confirm they are a carer get free entry when accompanying a disabled person.


Animals

Animals are not permitted on site or in any of the car parks or camp sites.



Camping

Camping is available at the British Superbike and British Touring Car events. Camping spaces must be pre-booked and can only be purchased alongside a ticket purchase.

  • Camping must only be purchased with a ticket (unless season pass holder)
  • A wristband will be sent along with the ticket, you must keep both on you at all times, no access to the campsite is permitted without the band
  • No animals allowed
  • No awnings allowed on caravans
  • Caravans must not be longer than 8m
  • There is no power provided
  • Toilets and showers are within the campsite
  • Under 12’s free
  • Cars will not be parked next to tents or caravans, there is a separate car park
  • No fires or fireworks
  • BBQs are permitted, they must be attended to at all times
  • Spaces are allocated on a first come, first served basis

At all other events camping facilities are not provided, please look at our accommodation section for facilities close to Knockhill.



Tickets

Tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred to another event.  For ticket transfers the tickets must be received at the office before the event start date. Tickets cannot be transferred after the event date.
