The Official Scottish Motorshow, supported by Road Safety Scotland. The interactive family event returns on the Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th June 2012. We very much look forward to welcoming you to Scotland's motor industry showcase which is endorsed by the SMTA (Scottish Motor Trade Association). The Show provides a great family day out and is firmly established as one of the best family-orientated days out in Scotland.Knockhill look forward to hosting the 2012 Official Scottish Motorshow, supported by Road Safety Scotland - the all action moving Motor Show that allows you to interact with the latest vehicles on the market. This year's events coincides with Father's Day, so treat your Dad to some fablous 4-wheel action at the Scottish Motorshow. This year promises to be another great event, with an impressive list of manufactuers/dealers already confimed.

SUNDAY – All the action continues with supercar track sessions, 4x4 off-road racers, World Record attempts, funfair entertainment, CHAS Mini Grand Prix and so much more! We'll also have on show all the latest car models, which you can sample on track with our demo rides.

Expert tips are on offer at the 2012 Scottish Motorshow which this year features a special Road Safety Zone. Motorshow fans can check out their reaction times and driving skills and get some advice on how to stay safe on the road from road safety experts in Fife including the Fire and Rescue Service, Safety Camera Partnership, Road Safety Unit and Road Policing Department who have teamed up with Road Safety Scotland for this year’s show.
MOTOR SHOW ZONE

Major manufacturers and dealers from the UK and Europe attend the Official Scottish Motorshow and in previous years the show has had some fantastic preview models on show (Some even before there official launch in the UK). Participating manufacturers/dealers include: Abarth, Alfa Romeo, BMW, Fiat, Ford, Ginetta, Honda, Jeep, Kia, Land Rover, Mercedes Benz, MG, Morgan, Nissan, Renault, SEAT, Skoda, Smart, Subaru & Vauxhall.
Going Green – The exhibitors will be showing off their latest Green machines! Including the new Hybrids, Electric and dual fuel cars.
STUNT SHOWS

World Stunt Bike Champion Kevin Carmichael will be performing his awesome tricks both days. Best known for his unique, dynamic and fascinating riding style. Kevin's tricks have been adopted by professional stunt riders all over the world. Kevin was the first person to wheelie a superbike with no front wheel or forks, and also has achieved this stunt with passengers!
Terry Grant
Terry Grant will be returning to this year's Scottish Motorshow with his unique brand of stunt driving. It's fabulous entertainment for all the family and this year is extra special. Terry will attempt to create a new World Record by having the most amount of people in a car on 2 wheels ever. He'll also attempt to wheelie a truck!

AIR DISPLAY
A Starduster plane will circle Knockhill Racing Circuit during the Scottish Motorshow, hang on to your hats as the plane comes in for a closer look. Check out the footage from a previous visit:
TEAM SCOTDRIFT
Scottish Drifting competitors - Team Scotdrift will be at Knockhill on the 16th & 17th June to showcase their superb range of machinery and exhilarting drifting skills, expect plenty of smokey, tyre sreeching action.
FREE 4X4 RIDES
Experience what it is like to go seriously off road, with extreme drops, water splashes and side slopes.
FREE TRACK RIDES
Many of the cars on show are also available for test ride demonstrations. Take your family out in the latest models around the famous Knockhill circuit making the Scottish Motor Show, uniquely a live and interactive Motor Show.
TEEN DRIVE TASTER
A taster of our hugely successful Teen Drive experience. 13 - 16yr olds get behind the wheel for themselves and receive a taster driving lesson from a professional driving instructor. £Charge applies.
KARTING
Have a go and see if you can beat "the Stigs" time. (From 8 years). Arrive and drive karting sessions will be available for you and your family to book into on the day!
CHAS MINI GRAND PRIX
Some of the top Mini racers in Scotland have teamed up with CHAS to raise some funds for the charity. There will be plenty of Mini fundraising action including a racing Mini convoy on the public roads, passenger rides for CHAS families on Saturday, all culminating in a Mini Grand Prix race with passengers (highest bidders) joining in the fun on Sunday.
RPM ZONE (Relaxation, Pampering and Make-over)
The R.P.M Zone (Relaxation, Pampering and Make-over) offers the female visitors to the Show a chance for a bit of relaxation, pampering and make-over with the help of students from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh. So while the boys head off to sample some of the 4-wheel action, all you ladies can get away from the hustle and the bustle and enjoy some "quality" time pampering yourself.
4x4 OFF-ROAD RACERS
A select group of vehicles will compete in a mini Competitive Safari over the two days of the Motor Show. With vehicles ranging from an almost standard Land Rover Defender to specialist Off Road racers like Wildcat or Simbuggini, we will show that almost anyone can enjoy our sport. If you like the deep-throated roar of large V8s, or the sight of vehicles dancing across gravel, this will appeal. Come and talk to the drivers, see the cars up close, and you never know.... it could be the start of a whole new motor sport hobby for you.
SUPERCARS
Check out the Supercar Session on track and in the paddock. World famous marques including: Lamborghini, Ferrari & Porsche. We'll also have some stunning new supercars on show in the pitlane exhibition hall.
CLASSIC CAR DISPLAY
A magnificent display of classic saloons & sports cars of yesteryear as a special preview for Classic Speedfair in July. A real trip down memory lane!
ROAD SAFETY ZONE
The “boys in blue” are here promoting Road Safety. Get tips on safer driving from the experts. You can also get a trip in a police car!
MODIFIED ZONE
Some of Scotland’s top modified show cars will be on display in the Modified Zone, if you are part of a car club you have to be at this event!
MOTORSPORT ZONE
Featuring some of Scotland's top motorsport racers and their vehicles. If you are into cars and think you'd like to go racing, have a chat with these guys to find out just how affordable it is.
MINI MOTOS
Scotland’s youngest Motorbike racers take to the hairpin. These Moto GP riders of the future are guaranteed to entertain you!
205 ECOSSE RALLY CHALLENGE DISPLAY
See and meet the newest breed of rally drivers to come out of Scotland with their Peugeot 205s and Honda Type R rally cars. Also, it will feature the launch of the new 2012 Rally 1000 Junior series for 12 year old and upwards. Have a look at the cars and find out how you can become the next rally champion!
Young Rally sensation John MacCrone, an FIA World Rally Academy driver will be at Knockhill to offer advice and help to the next budding rally stars. John, part of the Rally Team Scotland, an innovative new concept designed to nurture young rallying talent and provide opportunities to progress their career to world level.

An adult ticket will be issued when the purchaser is over 16 years old.
Concession Ticket Info
An concession ticket will be issued when the purchaser is 12-16 years (inclusive), OAP (60 yrs+), Disabled, Student* must have photographic student ID
Kids Ticket Info
Any child up to 11 years of age will be subject to no admission charges and therefore gain FREE ENTRY to the scheduled event. (except where stated)
Family Ticket Info
Parking
Parking, at most events parking is available close to the spectator areas. At major events all parking is on site but may not be inside the circuit grounds and the circuit may not be visible from your car. For disabled there are a limited number of trackside parking spaces. The paved and elevated disabled viewing areas are close to these parking spaces.
Buses
Buses, we can accommodate groups arriving by bus. The car parks are not suitable for buses therefore passengers will be directed to disembark near the pedestrian gate and then the bus will be parked in the designated area.
Drop-offs / Taxis
At major events with a high traffic flow the drop off area for taxi’s etc. will be next to the TICKET COLLECTION POINT this area will have a suitable turning area and access to exit routes. Passengers should then proceed to the pedestrian gates to purchase tickets if required.
At all other events drop-offs can be made at the main entrance gate.
Carers
Animals
Animals are not permitted on site or in any of the car parks or camp sites.
Camping
Camping is available at the British Superbike and British Touring Car events. Camping spaces must be pre-booked and can only be purchased alongside a ticket purchase.
- Camping must only be purchased with a ticket (unless season pass holder)
- A wristband will be sent along with the ticket, you must keep both on you at all times, no access to the campsite is permitted without the band
- No animals allowed
- No awnings allowed on caravans
- Caravans must not be longer than 8m
- There is no power provided
- Toilets and showers are within the campsite
- Under 12’s free
- Cars will not be parked next to tents or caravans, there is a separate car park
- No fires or fireworks
- BBQs are permitted, they must be attended to at all times
- Spaces are allocated on a first come, first served basis
At all other events camping facilities are not provided, please look at our accommodation section for facilities close to Knockhill.
Tickets
Tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred to another event. For ticket transfers the tickets must be received at the office before the event start date. Tickets cannot be transferred after the event date.

NEW LAND ROVER EVOKE
LAND ROVER are pre launch previewing the amazing EVOQUE, not due out until September. The Evoque is the smallest ever Range Rover and boasts better fuel consumption and lower C02 emissions than any other previous model. Interestingly the Evoque will be marketed to a younger, more female audience for urban use rather than off-road. Land Rover will also bring the Land Rover Experience to the Motorshow. Where visitors can have a run in their fleet of 4x4 models on the challenging terrain around Knockhill.
MERCEDES SLK SPORTS, C-CLASS COUPE & GULL WING SLS
MERCEDES are unveiling their stunning SLK sports car AND C-class Coupe, in addition to featuring the Formula 1 course car, the gull wing SLS. The cars will have pride of place on the John R Weir stand along with the full range of road cars.
MG6 - FIRST UK SHOWING
Making a return to the automotive industry and Knockhill is MG, with its new MG6 Sports Fastback. Now owned by the Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation, the MG brand makes a return to the market after a 16-year absence. The new MG6 is built around those core, 87-year-old MG values that made it such a popular marque. The MG6, designed and built right here in the UK, comes with three levels of trim (S, SE & TSE), enabling the car to reach a broader market. Knockhill will have the first ever MG6 on show in the UK.
RUSSELL PATERSON MORGAN & GINETTA G40
RPM, Scotland’s only official Morgan dealership, will make full use of their new Knockhill showroom at the Scottish Motor Show by showcasing the first 3 wheeler Morgan in Scotland, as well as a Ginetta G40 road car. Other Morgan’s on show will include 4/4 (Sport), Plus 4 and a Roadster Sport.
THE LATEST ECO CARS
GREEN CARS will be strongly featured at this year's Scottish Motorshow, which will include the ground breaking NISSAN LEAF. The Leaf is the first commercially available family car and will be making its debut next week. HONDA are also exhibiting their stunning CRZ hybrid sports car amongst a show full of ECO friendly cars. The all electric TESLA Sports car will also return to Knockhill this year!
BEST OF BRITISH
The historic sporting British brands of Aston Martin and Lotus are showing four of the feature cars of this year's Motor Show. The ASTON MARTIN RAPIDE four door grand tourer will be joined by the unique CYGNET, Aston's first city car. In addition LOTUS will be displaying the SUPERCHARGED EVORA S and the track derived ELISE CLUB RACER
FORD WRC CAR
The actual Ford WRC car, as used by Hirvonen and Latvala, will take pride of place on the Ford stand at the Official Scottish Motorshow. The Fiesta has just recently returned from the WRC Rally of Sardinia.
